Sunday thoughts from a Fibromyalgia mind #18

Sunday is often a blissful thinking day. Today I decluttered my little space in the world I call home. This is a very cathartic ritual to me, music on and a huge smile as I potter away sorting and dusting. I wouldn't say I am super tidy, far from it as I prefer a house to be a home but I detest useless clutter, over consumerism and things within my home that no longer have a use or bring me joy. I prefer to give these items to charity to raise much-needed cash and possibly make someone else smile.

Each week for me is a new chapter, a fresh start for any wonderful changes that come my way. Even if you like a grounded routine day if your mind is open to new opinions and possibilities then isn't that an adventure in its own right?

I cleanse my home at the end of the week and start of a new one. This way I notice a lightness of energy and calmness descend into my home from this practice. It can be a way to cleanse the old energy from the previous week and welcome in the new beginning week and all the possibilities it holds.

If change, a new mindset, new possibilities frighten you about what comes next, please don't allow it. Embrace the uncertainty and allow it to lead you to place. Enjoy the present, the now, because you will never get these simple moments again but spin wildly into the next chapter of life.

Why not have your own declutter?
Why not declutter your space and mind?

The key to happiness is not through attachment to thoughts and possessions.

ಌ Love and gentle hugs to you all

“Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?” Jalaluddin Rumi
